Gum Arabic Transfer Printing on Velvet and more!!
Mr Cat and Mr Rabbit both began life as flat prints on fabric that I have stitched and stuffed.
I learned the technique of Gum Arabic Transfer Printing from Sue Brown on a Makers Play Day at the Yard Artspace in Cheltenham. A fabulous technique for printing quickly onto fabric using photo copies of my drawings and that doesn't change the feel of the fabric. So many possibilities!!

I Forgot I Made These
A trip back to England has reunited me with many items which I had completely forgotten that I had ever made. These are the two that I was most excited to see again and that I feel can inspire work in the New Year.
A very dusty tin automaton of a person brushing a flower. I made this in a workshop a couple of years ago.

And this collagraph print of a girl, made as a card for a dear friend. Like finding an old sketch book it is wonderful how much something you made ages ago can be just the right inspiration.

Drypoints of The Proximity of Insects
Three silly drypoints based on my insect obsessed work. I haven't done any printing for a while so these are my test pieces before I start some proper work. Now that I have done these I want to make them into embroidery pictures as I think this is the perfect line to convert to stitch.
